  • Live in about a week once your roster is in
  • Sisters or brothers, your letters and your colors, on every page

Everything a chapter is, in one place

Not a brochure. A working member portal your actives and graduates sign into.

The family tree is the heart of it

Every member since your founding, big to little, line by line. Drag, zoom, and tap a name for their card. New members find their place in the story the day they're initiated.

  • Members-only portal

Roster, profiles and a discussion board. New accounts wait for officer approval.

  • Events & RSVPs

Recruitment, philanthropy, reunions and meetings on one calendar, with reminders.

  • Photo gallery

A private feed of chapter photos, sorted into albums.

  • Officer & admin consoles

Approvals, invitations and permissions. Buttons, never code.

  • Email that reaches everyone

A monthly digest and announcements, with one-click unsubscribe.

  • Mentoring & the map

Graduates offering help, actives asking for it, and every member's city on one map.

Consoles your officers will actually use

Approvals, invitations, permissions and the email digest are all buttons. When the e-board turns over, the next webmaster inherits a console, not a codebase.

The demo chapters are fictional, every name invented. Yours gets your letters, your crest and your roster.

Go on, drag it.

This is the family tree every chapter gets: every big and little, back to the founders. Drag it around, pinch to zoom, tap a name to follow the line.

Want to see yours? Send us your roster and we'll send back your chapter's family tree within 48 hours. Ask for yours →

A fictional chapter: every name here is invented. Yours is built from your own roster.

Two ways to build it

Both are the whole platform. The difference is who does the loading: your officers, or us.

You load it

The Chapter Portal

From $2,499 setup

then from $100/month for hosting, security and support

We build and host the site. Your officers fill it from their console, with buttons, not code.

  • Members-only portal, roster, profiles and discussion board
  • Events with RSVPs, photo gallery and email digest
  • Officer & admin consoles for every job
  • A roster worksheet and a step-by-step guide for loading the whole tree at once
  • Your letters, crest and colors, on your chapter's domain or an address we provide

The Legacy Build

Quoted from what you hand us

plus the same monthly plan, from $100/month

Everything in the Chapter Portal, and we do the loading. Hand us the roster, boards, awards and photos through one form, and the site arrives finished.

  • Everything in the Chapter Portal, plus:
  • The family tree built back to your founding from the roster you hand us
  • Past executive boards, awards and your photo archive, sorted by era
  • Nobody touches a console until launch. Then it's yours, with the same tools and guide

Talk through this plan

Every build includes

  • A free 30-minute walkthrough
  • Your own isolated database + one-click full export
  • Officers set up and trained
  • A security review before launch
  • Phone-first, light & dark themes
  • No per-member fees, ever

Setup from $2,499, then from $100 a month. Your exact quote comes out of the 30-minute walkthrough, in writing, and your rate is locked once you sign. No per-member fees, no contract term.

Your data is yours. Actually.

Most chapter software rents you a page and charges by the member. We run the machine, and you hold the keys.

One monthly subscription

Servers, monitoring, security updates and a person who answers. From $100 a month, month to month, with no per-member fees.

Your data stays yours

Member info lives in your chapter's own database. Nobody mines it, nobody sells it, and only people your officers approve can see it.

The door is never locked

Export your roster, tree and records in one click, and ask us any time for the full photo archive. If you ever want to run the site yourselves, we hand it over into your own accounts, for a one-time $750.

How it works

Five steps, in this order.

  1. 1

    Walkthrough call

Thirty minutes on a screen share. You leave with your exact quote.

  2. 2

    We set up your site

Your own database and address go live. Nothing for you to install.

  3. 3

    The build

Crest, colors, words, roster, tree and officers. About a week once your records are in.

  4. 4

    You review it first

A private preview link. Launch waits for your sign-off.

  5. 5

    Launch & the long haul

Members get invited, the tree fills in, and the next e-board inherits it.

Who's behind this

ChapterRoots is one brother, not a platform company. I built this for my own chapter first, 350+ brothers with every line back to the founders, because our story deserved better than a group chat that deletes itself.

Then I built it so every chapter's site speaks that chapter's language. A sorority's says sisters, recruitment and alumnae on every page, and wears your colors, not mine.

I do the walkthroughs and the builds, and when you email hello@chapterroots.com, the person who answers is the person who made it.

Fair questions

Why does a chapter need more than Instagram and a group chat?

Those are great for this week and useless for thirty years. Instagram can't show your founder's line, and a group chat deletes itself. The portal is the permanent layer underneath, owned by the chapter, not by an app.

What does it cost?

Setup starts at $2,499 and the monthly plan at $100, covering hosting, monitoring, security and support. Your exact number comes out of the 30-minute walkthrough, all-in and in writing. No per-member fees, no contract term, and your rate is locked once you sign.

What happens when our webmaster graduates?

That's the problem this exists to solve. Officers run everything from consoles, so the next e-board inherits buttons, not a codebase. Handover is one training session, not a semester of archaeology.

ChapterRoots is one person. What if something happens to you?

Fair question. Your site runs on Cloudflare and Supabase, not on anyone's laptop, and your officers can export everything any time. If ChapterRoots ever stops, we move the whole site into your chapter's own accounts free of charge, so it keeps running without us. That's written into the agreement.

Is this really built for sororities?

Yes. A sorority's site says sisters, sisterhood, recruitment and alumnae everywhere, in the consoles and the emails too, and it wears your colors. See both demo chapters side by side.

What about our national or council's rules?

The site is your chapter's private space, separate from national and council systems. Locals, nationals and every council fit, and we review any branding rules on the walkthrough.

Is our member data safe?

Each chapter gets its own isolated database with row-level security, bot-protected sign-in, and security reviews before every launch. Your data is never shared between chapters or sold.
